First United Methodist Church of Alvin is a place where people can meet Jesus, engage in life-giving community, and everyone is welcome. We believe in creating a space where people can have authentic encounters with Christ, discover their gifts and use them for God's glory. Join us for our Sunday services!
WHAT TO EXPECT:
Come as you are, everyone is welcome to join us! Come early and stay late for a conversational cup of coffee. We provide child care from infants to 5th grade during the service.
WHO CAN TAKE HOLY COMMUNION?
We offer communion on the first Sunday of every month. The sacrament of Holy Communion is a means of grace, whereby we draw close to God through Christ Jesus by remembering the last supper Jesus had with his followers before going to the cross. All believers are welcomed to the Lord's table and even children are allowed to take communion since Christ himself said, "do not hinder the children to come to me."
