DAY 4 | Acts 3: 1-26
Imagine a delicate butterfly emerging from its cocoon. It begins its life grounded, crawling, bound by limitations. Yet, with time and transformation, it spreads its vibrant wings and soars to the heavens, dancing among the flowers with newfound freedom. Such is the image of the man in Acts 3.
Outside the temple called Beautiful, a man born lame spent his days begging for alms. Then Peter and John entered the scene. When asked for money, Peter replied, "Silver or gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk." Immediately, the man's feet and ankles became strong. He didn't just walk; he leaped and praised God.
This isn't simply a story of physical healing. It's a metaphor for our spiritual journey. Many of us, before encountering Christ, are like the caterpillar or the lame man: grounded by our sins, limitations, and earthly concerns. But when we embrace the transformative power of Jesus, we experience an inner metamorphosis. We are freed from our spiritual limitations and are empowered to leap with joy, praise, and purpose.
Let Acts 3 remind us today that with Jesus, true transformation is possible. Regardless of our past or current limitations, we all have the potential to soar spiritually, like the butterfly, dancing in the glorious freedom and grace that Christ offers.
