What is an Essentials Pantry?

Many people in our community who in need of food assistance also have a need for basic toiletry items.  Non-food items cannot be purchased with food stamps, so toiletries and household cleaning supplies are items they often cannot afford to buy.

What are some examples?

  • Toothbrushes
  • Toothpaste
  • Deodorant
  • Shampoo
  • Razors (disposable)
  • Dish soap
  • Multi-Purpose Cleaners
  • Laundry detergent
  • Bar Soap
  • Shower Gel
  • Conditioner
  • Shaving Cream
  • Toilet Paper
  • Hand / Body Lotion

HOW CAN I RECEIVE HELP?

STEP 1: FILL OUT FORM

 Pick up on the day of distribution event

STEP 2: ARRIVE ON DISTRIBUTION DAY
(EVERY 3rd WEDNESDAY 4-6PM)

1) Follow Signs
2) Complete Car Sign
3) Put Car Sign in your windshield

STEP 3: PICK UP SUPPLIES

1) Watch for staging areas
2) Follow exit signs

STEP 1: PRAY

STEP 2: DONATE ITEMS

1) Drop off items at First Methodist Alvin
2) Put on an essentials drive in your organization
3) Provide a collection location at your business or place of employment

STEP 3: DONATE MONEY
