Genesis 2:8 ‐ 3:23 (TEXT) (VIDEO)
KEY VERSE:
And the Lord God commanded the man, “You may freely eat of every tree of the garden; but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall die.”
REFLECTION:
God gave Adam and Eve responsibility for the place in which God put them and told them to care for it in obedience to his instrucons. But, they don’t want to follow God’s instructions; they want to manage everything themselves. They disobeyed and brought punishment on themselves. This Advent season, pay attention to your temptations and your choices.
PRAYER:
Dear God, life is full of temptaons that keep us from You, Lord. You know what we really need in our life. Help us to make the right choices as we are faithful to your will. Amen.
