Family Promise of Clear Creek serves homeless families in our community, providing intensive case management, financial literacy training, and various other forms of service and support. Families in the program are seen as guests rather than clients and receive dinner and overnight shelter at different churches in the area. The goal is for families to leave the program for a home of their own with the skills and resources to sustain that stable housing situation.
Volunteer with Family Promise
Family Promise, is opening soon and providing new opportunities to serve families in our community. Alvin Methodist is helping host once a quarter, and we’d love to serve alongside you, your family, or small group!
Serving a hot meal, helping a child with their homework, or just giving a parent an encouraging word can make a tremendous impact. Family Promise has several volunteer opportunities for anyone willing to serve to make a difference alongside Family Promise!

There are two ways to serve:
- Serve a meal around 6:00pm. Prepare it at First Methodist if you like and hang out after dinner until 7:30pm. Play games, help with homework, visit or hang out.
- Stay onsite overnight in a private volunteer room with a bed. Arrive at 8pm and leave at 6am or ideally 7am.
